INTERVIEW: Tanushree Podder, Nazneen Kachwala, Sonali Mitra #17


This panel discussion was part of the Homemaker story project, initiated by Tell Me Your Story. I was Project Lead and moderator.

 

A well-known novelist, Tanushree Podder has written in various genres and has published 15 novels. Some of them are - Nurjahan’s Daughter, Boots Belts Berets, On the Double, Escape from Harem, A Closetful of Skeletons, Before you Breathe, The Girls in Green, An Invitation to Die and Spooky Stories. Two of her books, Boots Belts Berets and The Girls in Green, are being adapted into web series.


Nazneen Kachwala is an engineer and writer by profession. Her stories are published in The Times of India, The Optimist Citizen Newspaper, and Madras Courier. She founded ‘Winged Fables’ – a creative platform for artists, book lovers, and social innovators in 2018. Nazneen works on independent inventive projects, documents constructive stories on her website, interviews noble minds to create a human library, and has a paper published in her name with the UNESCO BRICS Nations. Besides, she has a penchant for history, astronomy, and yoga.


Sonali Mitra is a 40+ year old woman and mother of twin daughters, based in Bangalore. She has had a chequered career – as a consultant, a banker, an ecommerce evangelist and currently, a digital strategist for IKEA. Her life and its roads have taken her across the country, while personal experiences have seduced her to a journey inside.
