INTERVIEW: Mona Verma, Dr Veena Ramanathan and Damayanti #15


This panel discussion was part of the Homemaker story project, initiated by Tell Me Your Story. I was Project Lead and moderator.

 

Mona Verma is an award-winning author of 8 works of fiction and numerous anthologies. She had edited various science journals, self-help books, biographies and specializes as Haiku poet. Her books have been the subject of thesis for many Research Scholars and ICSE ELT series. She co-owns DISHA, a Corporate Training firm that is much sought by leading MNCs, PSUs, Corporate Houses, and Universities for Faculty training, PEP, and PSI programs and is the Chief Coordinator for FLO FICCI, Uttarakhand Literature Committee.


Dr Veena Ramanathan, a practising physician in Pune for the past 15 years, is thoroughly dedicated to her work of treating and healing people. Work helps her meet different personalities who often become her literary characters. She loves keeping her multiple passions alive of an avid reader, a baker and a nature enthusiast. She loves playing with words and stringing them into simple lines of poetry to convey the most complex of emotions or thoughts. She lives in Pune with her wildlife photographer husband and an extremely creative daughter. She is working on her first collection of poems that include the ones she ahs been penning down all these years!


Damayanti is a writer for love and a marcom strategist for livelihood. A mother, an avid traveller, an ardent reader, and a continuous learner, she works passionately for social causes related to the education of children and women in business. She is a short story enthusiast and has contributed to online literary platforms like StoryMirror, Juggernaut. Her stories reflect the subtleties in relationships and the nuances of life that are capable of changing one’s own world but are often taken for granted.
